Maternal relation:
    Gender:  Masculine Gender: e,g: Brother- Bhai (Bangla) = feminine Gender: e,g: . Sister – Apa (Bangla).
   Note:   Below Any relations, all of their brothers & sisters or cousins should be called the same.

Before 1st Generation: Maternal Great Grand Father = Maternal Great Grand Mother / Nanar Pitta or Nanar Bap = Nanar Matta or Nanar Ma (Bangla), also call them old Uncle or Boro Mama or Boro Mouwa (Bangla) = old Aunts or Boro Khala or  Boro Moi (Bangla) . e,g: Your Nana or Nanis parents.
     1st Generation: (Maternal Great Grand Fathers children’s):  Maternal Grand Father = Maternal Grand Mother  / Nana = Nani (Bangla), also call them old Brother/ old Sister. e,g: Your Nana or Nanis in Bangladesh and UK.
      2nd Generation: (1st gen children’s): Mum / Amma or Matta (Bangla), Maternal Uncle = Maternal Aunt     / Mama = Khala or Moi (Bangla).   E,g: Boro Mama & your antis.    
     3rd Generation: (2nd  gen children’s): Brother =  Sister /  Apa =  Bhai (Bangla). E,g: It will be your boro mamas children’s.
      4TH Generation: (3rd gen children’s): Nephew = Niece /  Bhagna = Bhagni (Bangla), if they are older than you than call them Uncle / Mama (Bangla)  or Aunties /  Khala (Bangla) . E,g: It will be your boro mamas children’s children.
     5TH Generation: (4th gen children’s):  Maternal Grand son = Maternal Grand daughter / Nati = Natni (Bangla), if they are older than you than called Brother / Bhai  = Sister / Apa or Bun. E,g: It will be your boro mamas children’s childrens children.
                                      
1st: Nana - Maternal Grand father = Nani - Maternal Grand mother.
1st: Nana – Maternal Grand father’s brothers =  Nani - Maternal Grand fathers brother’s wife or sisters.
2nd: Mama – Maternal Uncles (Mums brother or cousins) = Khala or Moi – Maternal aunt, Mami - Maternal Uncles wife.
2nd:  Khala or Moi - Maternal aunts = Mama or  Mouwa - Maternal aunts or Khalas Husband.
3rd: Bhai (Cousins) – Maternal Uncles or Aunt Sons   = Bhabhi or Sister in law (Maternal Uncles or aunts sons wife).
3rd: Apa (Cousins) – Maternal Uncle daughter = Dulabai (Brother in law) , Maternal older Uncles or Aunts daughters husband.
4th: Bhagna (Nephew) – Maternal Cousins son = Bhagni (Niece) – Maternal Cousins daughter, Note: Mamas or Khalas sons or Daughters are in your cousins.
5th: Nati (Maternal Grand son) – Maternal Nephew or Niece son = Natni (Maternal Grand Daughter) - Maternal Nephew or Niece daughter.

In law:
Father in law:  Wifes father / Sasur (Bangla).
Mother in law: Wifes Mother / Sasuri (Bangla).
Son’s wife: Daughter in law or Bou,(Bangla).
Daughter’s husband:  (Damand) Son in law.
Sister in law / Bhabi : older Brothers wife.
Brother in law / Dulabai: older Sister husband.
Grand son daughter in law = Grand son or Grand daughter  husband or wife / Nati Damand or Nati Bou.
