Say or read by heart :
example:
Oh allah please accept my 3 rakah of magrib
fard with immam.......Allah Akbar.
or
Oh allah please accept my 2 rakah of magrib
sunnah muakaddah........Allah Akbar.
Details:
The intention is something from the heart
and does not have to be loud.
Declare the ‘takbeer’ (Allah-o-Akbar) to
signal the start of their prayers, and offer the prayer they intended in their
hearts to pray.
It
is not necessary to state the intention verbally as some people believe. Such a
practice was never prevalent during the time of the Prophet (peace and
blessings be upon him) or the early Muslims, whose example we must strive to
follow.
While praying with the Imam one should have
the firm and sincere intention of performing such-and-such a prayer with the
Imam. The Imam leading the salah should also have the intention of performing
such-and-such a prayer in congregation as an Imam."
Is it right to say Intention (Niyat) for
prayer in one`s own mother tongue (that is in the language that one understands
best).
if one has made intention in one’s heart to
offer a particular prayer, does the ‘wudu’ in preparation for the prayer,
approaches the ‘masjid’ or stands on the prayer mat in the direction of the
‘qibla’ to start their prayer, etc
